England vs New Zealand Match Prediction

  • England to win the match
  • England has impetus on its side after easily winning both Test matches in a thrilling manner.
  • England’s batters Joe Root, Jonny Bairstow, and Ollie Pope have scored more than 700 runs between them.
  • New Zealand lost the most recent match despite reaching 553 in the first innings which should be a worry for them.

England vs New Zealand Match Analysis

New Zealand will be seeking a victory that will save their dignity as they enter the third Test of the series at Headingley.  The final match in Nottingham was one of the greatest for the hosts in recent years, and the defeat would be painful for the New Zealanders for some time. On the game’s final day, England made an astonishing comeback victory. With an intimidating stance, they startled the guests and cut off their opportunity to respond. Since their victory in the World Test Championship final last year, the New Zealand squad hasn’t had the finest run in Test cricket. In both games, they were outplayed, and their bowling assault has fallen short of expectations. It would be intriguing to see if the Kiwis can prevent a whitewash given that the series has already been lost.

England vs New Zealand Pitch Report

Fast bowlers provide bounce and swing at the classic English venue of Headingley in Leeds. As we have observed over the past ten years or so at this ground, batsmen must put in a lot of effort to succeed here. They may play their strokes because of the wicket’s speed. As the ball doesn’t hold the field, there isn’t much on this ground for spinners.

England vs New Zealand Team Previews

England

Ben Stokes’ stint as a skipper couldn’t have gotten off to a greater start. In two games, his team has defeated England handily. The team put on an outstanding batting display on the fifth day of the previous game, playing fearless cricket to win the match. This came after they played a catch-up game during the game’s first four days. In this match, Stokes would like to win by a score of 3-0. Although Zak Crawley has been struggling to score runs recently, Alex Lees fared brilliantly in the most recent game. With hundreds in the last match from Ollie Pope and Joe Root, the middle order for the team appears to be tough.

Following his magnificent hundred in the, Jonny Bairstow enters the fray and provides the lineup with much-needed stability. Ben Foakes and Stokes will bat next. James Anderson is probably going to sit out this game, therefore the team will be counting on Stuart Board and Craig Overton to have strong outings as the Kiwi top order begins to falter. The fact that Matty Potts and Jack Leach performed effectively in the last game’s second innings would boost their trust. In these circumstances, Stokes is a capable bowler who gives the bowling attack some balance.

New Zealand

Kane Williamson is back in charge of the team and is eager to put the misery of the last game behind him. After scoring over 500 runs, very few sides have lost a Test Match. However, their bowlers put on a dismal performance on the fifth day, unable to exert any influence on the Englishmen. Williamson wants his team to put up a strong effort in this match and go home with their dignity intact since the World Test Champions are facing a series sweep. Given that they failed to rise to the occasion in both contests, Tom Latham and Will Young must play strong knocks at the top. The squad is really happy to get Williamson back, but he will have to play through several innings.

Daryl Mitchell and Tom Blundell, who have both played well, would like to contribute runs down the order like they did in the previous two games. This batting order gains depth thanks to Michael Bracewell. Poor bowling throughout both innings, particularly in the second innings, cost the team dearly in the previous game. Trent Boult has displayed strong play, but he will want assistance from Tim Southee with the fresh ball at the other side. To compete with England’s formidable batting lineup, Bracewell, Kylie Jamieson, and Matt Henry must produce stronger performances.

England vs New Zealand Toss Prediction

Toss would be tricky here as sides have won games batting first as well as chasing the scores in the 4th innings. There is a forecast for rains from Day 2 onward and hence batting conditions would be easier on the first day of the game. The side winning the toss here would opt to bat first.

England vs New Zealand How to Bet

We are backing England to win the match. Not only did New Zealand lose the most recent game, but they also suffered a devastating defeat. To regain lost respect, the team would need to perform well and recover from this setback. One of the team’s biggest issues is that their Top 4 haven’t helped the cause in the previous several games. This match would feature a confident England. The team would be favorites in this game to win the series 3-0 since their hitting appears to be in terrific form. Bet on England to win.
